Built-in Image Compression During Editing

Hello OnlyOffice Team,

I would like to suggest adding a built-in “image compression feature” directly in OnlyOffice editors and web. Currently, users need to manually compress images before inserting them into documents, spreadsheets, or presentations. It would be much more efficient if OnlyOffice could compress images during editing as Microsoft or LibreOffice can do, allowing users to reduce file size without leaving the editor.

Ideally, this feature could include:

  • Automatic compression when inserting large images
  • A manual option to compress all images in the current file
  • Adjustable quality settings (e.g., high, medium, low)
  • Support for different formats.

This would greatly improve workflow efficiency and help keep document sizes manageable, especially for users collaborating on large files.
