Very slow open of XLSX file that opened quickly prior to latest document server update

Hello Team!

I have one large spreadsheet that has not been updated since November 2025, it has 10 sheets or some, some embedded images and a macro on ONE sheet I have disabled for now.

After the update to latest document server it opens very slowly in Firefox and Chrome on Ubuntu 24.04 complaining “page is slow, wait or close the page”. if I say wait it does open , eventually. (2 minutes).

dv-path access and spell.js seem to stall… as viewed in developer options.
macros is set to NOT autostart

NOTE
I HAVE a 55MBYTE sanitised HAR file for you.
How can I upload this?

Hi Constantine, yes it was right after the upgrade.

As I said I have a HAR file if you need it.

I have the same as this case, but for me its in the latest release

It won’t provide necessary information without comparing.

Did you experience the slowdown upon very first opening? Does it open normally all further attempts?

Hello Constantine.

I have used these XLs templates successfully for financial calculations for years inside OO and by removing these from my slow loading spreadsheet and using a different template I am now OK. No more slow down.

You may want to look the interactions between these templates and OO 9.1?
