Hello @gunnar

Please specify which product is being used (Desktop Editors or Docs) and its version.

By the way, can you check out this topic? It seems to be the same issue.

Thank you Constantine,
I recently submitted an improvement request for this same issue. I got a reply by mail that asked me to send in my version of Onlyoffice, and to check whether I had frozen panes in the spreadsheet.
Based on my answer, I was asked to update to version 9.3, since the issue should be solved there.
After updating, I opened my file, scrolled down a couple of pages, saved it, closed Onlyoffice, and then opened everything back up. The issue remained the same, and the spreadsheet opened with the cursor somewhere near the beginning of the spreadsheet again, not holding its saved place.
I then unfroze the panes, scrolled down a few pages, saved, closed, etc.
When I opened this second version of the saved spreadsheet without frozen panes, the file opened in a different position than before, but still close to the top of the spreadsheet, so it did not hold its saved position either in spite of unfrozen panes.
I reported back by e-mail, but was asked to also post it here in the forum for further followup.
It would be awesome to have the spreadsheet open where you left off, specially in long spreadsheets.
Thank you!

Hello @RDel

Did you make any changes after scrolling and before closing the file? Also, please let me know your OS and installation type of Desktop Editors.

Hello Constantine,

I scrolled down a few pages, set the cursor in a new cell position and saved the file. I don’t recall trying to make a change, save, and then close.

But, on the other hand, that file I use almost daily, so I have opened it many times, added data, sorted, etc. Then saved and closed. Yet it always opens back at the top of the spreadsheet and with part of the columns hidden behind the frozen panels.

My operating system is the following:

System:
Kernel: 6.17.0-14-generic arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 13.3.0 clocksource: tsc
Desktop: Cinnamon v: 6.4.8 tk: GTK v: 3.24.41 wm: Muffin v: 6.4.1 vt: 7 dm: LightDM v: 1.30.0
Distro: Linux Mint 22.2 Zara base: Ubuntu 24.04 noble

For installation type of the Desktop Editor I am not sure what you mean. I downloaded the original version from the Linux software manager, which is a flatpack file.

The upgrade to the version 9.3 I did with a direct update command in the Linux terminal.

I hope this info helps, let me know if you need any other info.

Hey @RDel,

Thanks for the detailed info about your setup (Linux Mint 22.2 + Flatpak) — that helps.

To help us investigate further, could you please record a short video showing the exact reproduction steps?
You can upload the video to ONLYOFFICE DocSpace, kDrive, or any file host and share the link here.

This would be extremely helpful for us to see the behavior clearly and reproduce it on our side.

Thanks in advance!
