Hello!
Please help me with the problem of printing landscape documents.
Only in OnlyOffice, all documents (word, excel, pdf) are printed in portrait mode when printed on a Richon mp2014d printer.
3 Richon mp2014d printers and any Windows 8,8.1,10 PCs behave in the same way.
Changing the print settings and printer properties to landscape orientation, disabling duplexing, and trying to create a custom paper size do not affect the situation.
Reinstalling the driver and resetting the printer settings does not help.
Depending on the OS, there are different printer drivers: “Connecting a network printer”, Richon MP2014D DDST.
I am unable to install the PCL6 universal driver due to an error.
This would be obvious (driver issues), but:
- the problem occurs with different drivers
- the problem on different PCs with different OS
- the problem only on the Richon MP2014D printer, everything is fine on other printers.
- the problem only in OnlyOffice, in LibryOffice, OpenOffice, MicrosoftOffice this problem does not exist!
- ! and the most interesting ! - if you click fast print, then everything is printed normally!!!
OS: Windows 10 Pro, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 Home, Windows 7, Windows 8
The configuration has not changed, and desktop versions from the official windows x64 website are being used.
I add:
If you select the text, press the right key-print the selected, then it is printed in normal landscape mode.
I understand this function, like “Quick Print”, works equally and correctly.
But the usual print with the selection of options and print with the printer dialog box - incorrectly.
I add:
If you insert Page Breaks or Section Breaks on the first book page, then even if the document has different pages with orientation (both landscape and portrait), then it starts to print the entire document correctly both through the “print” button and through the “quick print” button.
i.e. the document should look like this:
1 page - Book with section break (On current)
2 page landscape
3-n any orientation
Hi @SergioS,
Thank you very much for your detailed explanation — that’s incredibly helpful.
To investigate the issue more accurately, could you please:
- Share a sample document where the problem occurs (even if it happens with any file — just for reference);
- If possible, record a short video showing the printing issue — this would help us better understand the behavior you’re experiencing.
- Version of ONLYOFFICE Desktop.
We appreciate your assistance
Hello!
I’ve attached a file. The problem is with any document (docx, xlsx, pdf).
I’d also like to point out that when printing problems, the paper settings in the paper trays on the printer itself are ignored.
In tray 1, there is A4 book paper, and in the additional tray, there is A3 landscape paper.
When printing normally (video 1), the paper is taken from tray 1, which is A4 book paper.
When printing problems (video 2), the paper is taken from the additional tray, which causes a conflict of paper formats.
But even if you change the A3 landscape parameters to A4 portrait, it doesn’t make any difference. The print job still comes with invalid parameters, which causes the printer to complain.
In other words, the problematic printing completely ignores the paper settings specified in the driver and the printer.

Hello everyone again.
I’ve received a notification that my issue has been resolved.
However, it has not been resolved, and the problem remains.
Hi @SergioS
Could you please confirm if you are using the latest version of ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors (9.0.3)?
Hello!
The problem was on version 9.0.0…
Today I updated to 9.0.3 (to the latest)
The problem remains - if the first page is not set to portrait and with a break, the landscape page is printed in portrait orientation and is cut off.
