Can't right click in Docs on my Macbook

I cannot right click in Only Office Documents on my Mac in some places. Usually, to right click on my Mac, I press Control + click. This works when I want to edit styles (such as Headings or Normal text) but I cannot right click to open a menu if I highlight a word, such as to open the advanced paragraph settings. Please can you tell me if this is intentional or a glitch? A lot of the how-to guides mention using right click to access menus, with no alternative suggestions for how to access the menus if you cannot right click.

I’m usingMacOS Tahoe 26.5.1 on a Macbook Air 2022 with am M2 apple chip and the free version of the Only Office desktop app.
