Apple Mac Mouse Control - Contextual Menus

macOS Sequoia 15.7.3
OnlyOffice Desktop v 9.2.1- Spreadsheets & Documents

Perhaps missing something obvious but …

With MS Windows apps, contextual menus are usually brought up with an right click on the mouse and this seems to be the case also in OnlyOffice.

With every macOS app I’ve used, the standard equivalent is Control-click except this isn’t working in OnlyOffice …

Control-click is still working in other macOS apps - Pages, Number, LibreOffice - so it’s not something in my Mac’s global settings I’ve inadvertently changed.

Yes, I know I can change the macOS Mouse Settings to enable the equivalant of right-click and that does work in Only Office but I’d sooner not change the way I work just to accommodate OnlyOffice.

Is it correct that Control-click is not available in OnlyOffice?

Hi @gwentlarry ,
Thanks for the details — this is a known issue on our side (internal track number 62276). We’ll post an update in this thread as soon as we have any news regarding a fix.

But isn’t this a macOS function?

I can certainly modify the mouse behaviour via OS Settings to allow a right-click like behaviour.

You’re right — Control-click is indeed a standard macOS system function.

However, if an application does not rely on the native macOS event handling and instead processes mouse input internally, this behavior may not be triggered automatically.
