Windowed Presentation Mode For Slide Shows

I have switched to OnlyOffice from LibreOffice today because the compatibility seemed way better. One thing I would like to see in the Desktop app right now though, is the windowed presentation mode which did exist in LibreOffice.

This feature was to view a slide show in full screen but as if the screen was the window it was opened in. With this feature available, I was able to look at the presentation on one side of my screen, and whatever I wanted to look at on the other side of the screen. This might sound a little confusing so I will provide example screenshots.

This is quite useful for multitasking especially while studying so hopefully this request gets some attention.

Note: I could still make use of OnlyOffice to achieve this functionality when I remove the right/left/upper/lower panels from the “view” settings, but then I could argue that some slides have those “Insert …” buttons that show up if you are not on slide show mode (will provide screenshots for that as well), I also don’t always want to waste time setting up the panels according to my preferences.

SCREENSHOTS:

Hey @kingsoul

Thank you for sharing your suggestion and detailed explanation! I understand your idea about having a windowed presentation mode in the Desktop app.

I’ll check with my colleagues regarding the possibility of such a mode in our editors. As soon as I have any updates, I will get back to you.
