"View > New Window" functionality to open new stand-alone instance

I want to be able to open a new stand-alone instance of the same spreadsheet and would like to be able to access/edit both instances simultaneously.

In Excel & WPS you get to this functionality via “View” > “New Window”.

If this is not currently a feature can you please add?

Hello @fred319

I am checking the situation. I will let you know when I get something.

Hello @fred319

Unfortunately, right now there is no way to open a separate window in our Desktop Editors.
However, we have created a suggestion number 61605 to add such functionality in future releases.

Thank you for suggestion this feature.

Hello @Constantine and @fred319
Is there an update on this? Having a second window open that shows the same document (or spreadsheet) is indeed very useful when working with long text documents (eg for cross-referencies, etc.) or spreadsheet-workbook with several (interacting) worksheets.
I still can’t find the functionality - however it might be my fault.
If not, please I’d like to support the demand for this functionality.
Thanks for all the precious work being done to get a good - in many respects already even better - alternative to ms!
Btw: The “draft”-view in ms Word is also a feature I miss, and the ability to work simul
Best regards, Urs

Hello @ursdiego

Unfortunately, this suggestion is not implemented yet. I will forward your query to the existing enhancement.

Hi - new OnlyOffice user, only a few days and already enjoy the interface and user experience in Only Office. However didn’t take long before looking for a “multiple window” view for the same document. Very useful feature, as other mentioned, for long documents where you want to reference two or more parts of the same document without scrolling back and forth. Would help improve the versatility of the editor.

Of course, if it’s already there, and I missed it, please let me know!

Thanks for developing this, it’s a great office suite.
