I’m trying to update file content: using the demonstration in the link here:

update existing file

But it returns a success code 200, without any update in the content or the version number.

It only was able to update the file title not its content.

My workspace version is: Version 3.5.4.541

First of all, please note that this article is dedicated to updating the information of a file, not the file content.

Can you describe your final goal in more details?

Please provide versions of all Workspace components. You can find them in Control Panel > Update section.

I want to be able to insert/update text in the document through API call. is that doable?

Components Versions:

  • Control Panel: 3.5.4.541
  • Community Server: 12.7.1.1942
  • Document Server: 9.0.4.1
