I am a regular user of the ONLYOFFICE Android app, and I appreciate the powerful features you provide. However, I have encountered several UX/UI issues that make the mobile editing experience less fluid compared to other professional tools like Microsoft Word. I would like to share the following feedback:
1. Text Selection Issues:
The text selection process is not smooth. When I try to select a paragraph, the app often lags or “locks.”
If I release my finger and try to expand the selection, the highlight often disappears entirely.
The “Select All” option is frequently missing or hidden in portrait mode; I have to rotate my phone to landscape just to see it.
2. Navigation and Page Awareness:
When opening a Word document that doesn’t have pre-inserted page numbers, there is no indicator to show the total number of pages or which page I am currently on.
There is no Fast Scroll bar/icon. Navigating to the end of a long document is tedious because I have to swipe manually many times.
3. Search Functionality:
While the search tool highlights the text, the “Up” and “Down” arrows (to jump between multiple occurrences of the same word) are unresponsive or do not work as expected. This makes it very difficult to find specific terms in large files.
Conclusion:
I believe improving the smoothness of text manipulation and adding a fast-scroll feature would greatly enhance the app’s productivity. I hope to see these improvements in future updates.
Note: These issues were tested using the Arabic language.

Feedback and Feature Comparison: ONLYOFFICE Mobile vs. Microsoft Word

Identified Issues & Suggestions:
Text Selection & Responsiveness:
The selection handles are too small and lack the smoothness found in Microsoft Word. In Word, these handles are larger and much more responsive.
During text selection, the view does not adjust properly; often, the selected words go off-screen, making it difficult to see what is being highlighted.
Search Functionality:
Unlike Microsoft Word, the view in ONLYOFFICE does not automatically scroll or follow the results across pages when navigating through search results.
Missing Features:
There is no “Select All” option available in the menu.
The status bar is missing essential information, such as page count, word count, and character count.
A dedicated scroll handle/button is missing, which would make navigating long documents much easier.
RTL (Arabic/Kurdish) Alignment Bug:
There is a critical issue with Right-to-Left (RTL) alignment. The alignment buttons are inverted: setting the text to “Right” aligns it to the “Left,” and vice versa.
I have also prepared a video demonstrating these points to provide better clarity. I hope these suggestions help in the future development of ONLYOFFICE.
