Templates are not working correctly - how do I fix this?

Okay - here the specific problem: When I try to create a OnlyOffice document (.docx) and then save it as a template (.ott) - when I then try to create a new document (either from File/create from template or by directly opening the template from the file location (a regular folder in Documents), there is a template feature that does not work anymore when opening the template. This feature did work when creating it on the original document: I tried to create a template with multiple styles - in this case 8 different custom styles - when saving a new style (drop-down from styles and select “New style from selection” or by right-click on the selection and "Formatting as Style/ Create new style) - there is an option to select a “Next Paragraph Style” (drop-down with a list of all available styles or “Same as created new style”) - Now this is quite a nice thing IF it works!! It doesn’t … (Supposedly I would select an amount of text, apply the selected style, ENTER and the supposedly saved “next paragraph style” would pre-selected to continue with the document. Does anyone know HOW to fix this? (So far AI isn’t finding anything either…)

I have a laptop with Windows 11
ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors
Community version 9.2.1.43 (x64 exe) - up to date to this moment

Please advice!

cheers,

Hello @thjakits

We need some time to analyze the issue, please await my feedback on it.

Thanks! I’ll wait!

Thanks for the patience. QA has confirmed bug on the issue with saving proper style as “Next paragraph style” for .OTT files. We have started working on this issue, I will let you know once it is fixed.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for trying to fix this! I’ll wait for the “Good news”… Cheers, thjakits
