I would like to be able to save template files (*.dotx) and open them directly from the OnlyOffice “Templates” menu.
I read that someone planned to implement this in version 7.4, but we are now on version 9.4.
It would be great to have the following workflow:
- Click Save As
- Either check a Template checkbox, or—when selecting a template file type—be automatically redirected to the template location
OR - Add an additional option like Save as Template
When opening the OO menu → Templates, my custom templates should appear under the User tab.
Currently, saving a file as a template doesn’t make much sense, because when you open it, the first thing you have to do is rename it and save it again.
