Despite me specifically changing the formatting to currency it eventually changes back to number formatting. This is with the latest 9.21 version of OnlyOffice running on Linux Mint 22.2 with Cinnamon 6.4.8.
I also tried clearing the formatting and then applying currency and again it eventually switches back to number formatting. I say eventually because I cannot pinpoint when this happens.
Hello @mike888
Can you share a screen capture of this behavior? I’d do some tests based on that, because I was unable to reproduce this behavior as it is.
A screen captue will not help as that will only show a static state either where the currency formatting is applied or where it is not.
The only way you will be able to resolve this problem is to look at the code to see what conditions exist that would cause currency formatting to revert to numbers.
Unfortunately, without any specific scenario it’d be impossible to find the cause.
It is true in general, but there should be a specific action that triggers this behavior. For instance, if a change appears after opening a spreadsheet, then probably saving causes the change, thus a specific file with sample data could help us out. Another example, if an action with calculation or data insertion is performed and the formatting is changed, then there is an issue with it. In any case, a scenario is required for analysis.
" then probably saving causes the change" The following is consistent across various tests I have conducted. If I change the formatting on one sheet to currency, other sheets will revert to numbers, but only after restarting the app.
Is it possible to provide a sample file with directions what to change to reproduce the issue?
I seem to have discovered the problem.
The original file was created using OpenOffice as an ODS file. I opened it in OnlyOffice and then started to experience this problem. After converting the file to XLSX it now seems to function properly. Time will tell.

Please keep me update on the status. I am not going to close the topic just yet until you confirm the behavior.
