I am using a Apple Mac Book Pro M1 16Gb running Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90) and the latest OnlyOffline install (9.0.4).
OnlyOffice 9.0.4 (Free Version) crashes when I open a 72Mb xlsx spreadsheet that contains log information from a router. Appears to open fine but as soon as you click on it the crash happens. Spreadsheet consists of 487273 rows by 38 columns of text information, no formulas, one header row. My friend sent me the document to check the logs, they use Microsoft Excel and opens and works fine. Every other aspect of spreadsheet works fine.
Error suggests memory, activity monitor shows 5Gb of memory in use by the application, processor is running high.
Anybody else come across the issue or suggestions to get around it?
Onlyoffice has been removed and reinstalled to no avail. I really don’t want to have to go back to Microsoft Excel and Word.

Hello @andyd20atduck.com
It is possible to share such file for analysis of the issue? If it contains any sensitive date, you can just replace it with random strings.
Hi, thanks for reading about my issue. I would attach the file but the maximum upload is 14.6Mb, as I mentioned it is 72Mb in size, even if I zip it up. If there is another way to upload the file I have it ready. I have put it up on my dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mukyjrr0zoze3k7cldatu/Aug-27-2025_Sep-3-2025.xlsx?rlkey=l17pkscr0atcznzan7mqg4fwe&st=6yfbnnd0&dl=0
Let me know if it downloads OK from dropbox, I am close to my capacity on it so may need to remove it soon.
Thanks for the reply. Would you mind if I forward this file to the QA department for analysis of the situation?
Yes please, as I really don’t want to go back to Microsoft and will support OnlyOffice the best I can at my age
Thank you, I have forwarded the file to the QA team to check out. I’ll keep you posted on the news.
I was informed that a bug has been registered on that file for further investigation. I’ll share an update once it becomes available.
Thanks for letting me know, in a way I am glad you have found the bug, it will save me going cap in hand to my friend to use their Microsoft Office to complete the task when it comes up again next quarter.

Hello again @andyd20atduck.com
I’d like to inform you that the bug discussed in this topic has been resolved in the latest release of ONLYOFFICE editors 9.1.
Please update your instance and check whether it suits your goal.
Note: ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors 9.1 will be available soon. Stay tuned.
Hello again, unfortunately the issue still exists in 9.1 (arm version). The same file opened in Excel works fine, but not in ONLYOFFICE.
