Spreadsheet: changing cell font style "normal"

Do you want to: Ask a how-to question

OS version: Macbook Pro, IOS Sequoia 15.7.2
App version: Desktop 9.3.1
Downloaded from: ONLYOFFICE website
Additional information:

I have created a standard template, where the font of all cell’s was change to Helvetica, but as soon as I merge two cell, the cont was change to Calibri. It seems that the styles ie. “normal”, “netral” etc. etc. was not change to Helvetica.

Question: How do I change the default style?

Thank you from a newbee

Hello,

At the moment, the supported way to change the default font and styles for new spreadsheets in ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors is to modify the default spreadsheet template as described in this guide: Changing the default document templates

In short, you need to edit the default spreadsheet template new.xlsx and replace the original template used by Desktop Editors for new files.

Please note that after updating Desktop Editors, customized templates are replaced with the default ones, so the template may need to be copied back again after an update.

Thank you, but then I have to change all styles manually as there is no way to change the standard font used?

I rechecked the information, and at the moment, there is no option in ONLYOFFICE Spreadsheet Editor to create a new cell style or edit an existing built-in one. Therefore, changing the font for styles such as Normal directly is not supported.

We already have a feature request to add the ability to create new cell styles and edit existing ones, and I have added your request to it. Unfortunately, we do not have an exact ETA at the moment, but we will update this thread as soon as we have any news to share.

As a workaround, you can format one cell the way you need and then use the Copy style function to apply the same formatting to other cells or ranges. The steps are described here: Spreadsheet Editor - Clear formatting
