I have copied the link to a shared document into different apps, such as Google Docs, Notesnook and Keep. However, whenever I click on the link, it never opens the document, but always redirects me to the the DocSpace overview. I have to paste the link into the address bar of my browser (I tried this with Firefox and Chrome) to access my file directly.
Not sure what is happening here.
Hello @gti3s6gj0
Please elaborate how exactly the link is copied. Do you copy it from address bar of the browser or from room view (context menu, for instance)? Also, please let me know version of used DocSpace.
Hi Constantine,
Actually, I was thinking today about either changing the title of the topic or deleting it and creating a new one.
The reason is that the problem I encountered doesn’t specifically refer to shared links, but to document URLs in general.
When I click on a URL placed inside a note or an online document that isn’t an OnlyOffice document (eg Google doc), it doesn’t open the OnlyOffice document, but always the DocSpace overview.
It makes no difference whether I use the link from the browser’s address bar or the sharing context menu. The link only works if I paste it directly into the address bar.
Interestingly, the link opens my document if I use it inside a locally stored text document (e.g. LibreOffice). (Ctrl+left mouse button)
I only use the web version of DocSpace. This is what the ‘About’ page shows me:
Document management: ONLYOFFICE DocSpace v.3.2.1
Online editors: ONLYOFFICE Docs v.9.0.4.50
Thank you for the reply. As I can see, new topic has not been started just yet, so I recommend to do it instead of renaming this one to preserve history and avoid confusion for others who might be seeking similar information.
