Presentation API - Control slideshow navigation

Hello,

I am evaluating ONLYOFFICE Presentation macros as a replacement for an existing interactive work procedure currently built in PowerPoint and powered by VBA.

The presentation is used as an interactive production guide. Operators select the configuration they need, and the assigned macro navigates to different sections of the presentation to build the appropriate assembly sequence.

My VBA project relies heavily on slideshow navigation features such as:

  • Accessing the current slide.

  • Accessing a slide ID.

  • Jumping to a specific slide programmatically.

  • Returning to a previously displayed slide.

  • Detecting when a specific slide has been reached.

For example, one of my VBA procedures works as follows:

As shown in the attached example, the macro stores the current slide, navigates to different procedure modules, waits until predefined slides are reached, and then redirects the operator to the next required section before finally returning to the original slide.

This allows a single presentation to contain multiple assembly workflows assembled dynamically according to the operator’s choices.

Is it possible to implement similar functionality using ONLYOFFICE Presentation macros and the Presentation API?

More specifically:

  • Can a macro access the currently displayed slide during slideshow mode?

  • Can a macro access a slide ID or slide index?

  • Can a macro detect when a specific slide is reached?

  • Can a macro navigate programmatically to another slide during slideshow mode?

  • Are there any slideshow-related events available to macros?

If these features are supported, could you please provide the relevant documentation or a minimal code example?

Thank you in advance for your help.
