I’m evaluating ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors as a possible replacement for Microsoft Office across our organization.
Several of our existing .xlsx workbooks rely on Power Query to import and reshape data from SQL Server. When I open these files in the Spreadsheet Editor, [describe exactly what happens: the queries are not recognized / the data is shown as static values only / the connections are lost after saving / the file does not open].
My questions:
- Is Power Query (the M engine / Get & Transform) supported in any form in the current version?
- If not, is it on the roadmap? Is there a recommended workaround (a plugin, the built-in automation/macro API, or external preprocessing)?
These workbooks are currently a blocker for migrating the users who depend on them, so any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
