PDF form field default value and alignment

When I create a new pdf from scratch in onlyoffice, I can see the option default value. I can change it even if I reopen the file afterwards.
But when I try to edit a pdf originally created with adobe, I can’t change the default value of any formfield even if I add a new one with onlyoffice. There are less options in the menu and nothing happens when I right click on it.
Is there a way to change the default value with onlyoffice 9.3 ?

Thanks for the screenshot and details — got it.

We constantly work on improving PDF form functionality from release to release, including compatibility and editing options.

For now, the best options are:

  • Recreate the entire form from scratch in ONLYOFFICE — this gives complete control over everything.

If recreating isn’t practical for your files, feel free to share more about your typical workflow (or a sample if possible) — we’ll see if there’s a better workaround.
