OS version: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
App version: 9.0.0
Downloaded from: snap
Additional information: Used to work perfectly on my Huawei Matebook Pro with Ubuntu 24.04, can’t make it work on my brand new Framework 13. The application crashes immediately at launch.
Hello @slorentz, please clarify, how do you run it? Do you run it using --system-title-bar
flag?
What is the output when you run the editor? (the screenshot of the issue would be helpful)
Hello @DmitriiV , Thanks for your message! I tried to launch the editor from the dock, the system attempts to open a window which instantly disappears (too fast for me to take a screenshot).
Hello @slorentz,
We are currently checking, please wait
So, do you use the above-mentioned flag --system-title-bar
when launching? How do you actually launch it?
Got it, thank you for sharing, we are continuing the analysis
@DmitriiV Thanks! Let me know if there is anything more i can do to help you. Looking forward to seeing only office up and running again, as a linux-only user it is a real game changer when you are frequently exchanging docs for professional purpose!
I understand, you are welcome!
So, was the app’s 8.3.3 version working on this machine? (could you please check by installing it using this command - sudo snap iinstall --candidate onlyoffice-desktopeditors
?)
Hello, just tried it with a snap refresh, the result is the same (see screenshot) This laptop is brand new and i didn’t install it before, i have it running without any issue on a Huawei Matebook pro from 2022 running Ubuntu 24.04 as well without any problem.
Thank you for sharing, we are still looking into it
