Migrating Onlyoffice data to Amazon S3 storage from two different servers

Good day!
Our company has two Onlyoffice instances running on different Windows server VMs. We typically use the entire suite of Onlyoffice software except for the mail server. Recently, the mail aggregator has been performing poorly. A typical situation:
There are two employees working on different Onlyoffice servers, but with the same mailbox connected. Emails arrive at this mailbox, and one employee sees them, while the other doesn’t. Therefore, we decided to set up another Onlyoffice server, running Debian Linux, and migrate the data from the two previous servers to Amazon S3 cloud storage. Does anyone with experience migrating Onlyoffice data have any advice on the best way to migrate data to this storage? Is it possible to merge databases from different servers, and is it possible to reduce the database size and migrate only data for the last year or several months? How do I migrate files, attachments, etc.? How can I then attach all of this to the existing Onlyoffice server running Debian? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello @StevoTheRad

If you want to migrate your portal to another installation, then you should:

  • do a clean installation of Workspace on a new server;
  • make a backup of the portal that you want to migrate;
  • restore the backup on the new server.

Important: make sure that portals you want to migrate from and to have the same versions of all components.

Please refer to the official guide on how to use Control Panel to create/restore backups: Using the Control Panel backup/restore feature
