Make text field form component background completely transparent

Hi! Even when I set a text field color to be completely white when I open this PDF in Firefox to fill, the field itself is visible (light blue rectangle is shown where the field is located):

This is a problem for me when I want fields to be transparent (with just text being able to be placed inside them) while their background to be any shape. Good example where I need is an English worksheet:

In it I have several rounded rectangles where I would love to insert text fields with text just visible and circles to write just one letter there.

Hey @EmilyGraceSeville7cf,

Thanks for the example! Just to make sure — have you seen this completely transparent form field behaviour working in other editors/viewers (like Adobe Acrobat or Chrome’s PDF viewer)?

From what I know (though I might be wrong), active form fields get that light blue/yellow highlight in pretty much all PDF viewers… it’s like a spec thing to show where you’re typing. But if you’ve got an example where it’s truly invisible, that’d help us understand if it’s possible!

No, I have not yet. :pensive:
