Make custom design of headers

Hi! Is it possible to make a background rounded rectangle to move alongside the header? I want a custom design for headers, not just text, and I want the design to match the location of the header Breaking stroke at some point. I want to master OnlyOffice.

Hey @EmilyGraceSeville7cf,

Thanks for sharing the screenshot and your idea about customizing headers with a rounded rectangle background that follows the header’s position ! I’m not entirely sure how you’re envisioning the final result (e.g., how it “breaks stroke” or moves with the header), so could you share a sample document showing what you want to achieve? If you’ve done something similar in other editors (like MS Word or LibreOffice), a quick video or screenshots of the steps/options you used there would be super helpful too.

In the meantime, here’s a quick tip: In ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors (v9.1.0), you can insert a rounded rectangle as an autoshape (Insert > Shape > Basic Shapes > Rectangle), fill it with a background color/pattern, and position it behind the header text (double-click the header area to edit, then Arrange > Send to Back). For more on autoshapes: Insert and Format Autoshapes.
