It appears that there is no way to make a style that inherits from another style, e.g. a style based on Normal, as one can in Microsoft Word. The suggestion is to implement this in OnlyOffice’s Document editor. (Elsewhere I have upvoted making Styles appear as a (scrollable vertical) list in the right sidebar.)
