How to autocorrect text as I type?

Hi, so, I’m brand-new to Linux and OnlyOffice. Thrilled by both. I’ve never typed a line of code or a console command in my life.

I’ve been looking for an Autocorrect tab I can tell to insert a whole word / phrase when I type a shorter character string Back when I used Windows products (a long time ago: last week) for text documents, typing “mof” printed “matter-of-fact”, “tt” was “today”, and so on.
I’m not asking about spellcheck.

I’ve found the feature for maths, but I write fiction for a living. What plug-in am I looking for?

Please help, and thank you!

In case somebody else needs the info: espanso.org works fine. Still open to other ideas though

Hi @mariemarion, welcome to the community!

Thanks for the question — custom text replacements aren’t available in the editors yet. It’s already registered as an enhancement on our side (internal tracking number 65065).

For now, espanso is a good workaround. We’ll update the thread once it’s available.

Thanks a lot for your reply, and for the work you do.

Glad to help — enjoy writing with ONLYOFFICE!
