Within the app I did not find a feature nor a way to scan a document from a flatbed scanner, while a competitive app like TextMaker (from SoftMaker Office) does have such a feature. And also a PDF processing competitor like PDFgear has such a feature, please see the uploaded/attached screenshot file.
Hello @anotherJohn
As I can see, each screenshot demonstrates quite different features – one is insertion of a scanned image and another one is creation of a PDF from scanner.
What do you suggest exactly?
Hi @Constantine
Thanks for the message.
I know what you mean but it comes down to the same kind of feature that is able of:
- Connecting to a scanner
- Showing the scan(ner) settings panel
- Creating a PDF from a scanned image
More precisely, my suggestion is: that the ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors app will be able to do those 3 mentioned things similar to both related competitive apps, one way or the other.
The method of TextMaker has my preferation because it’s not limited to the creation of PDF only, but can also save a scanned image to a variaty of file types. Please see the added screenshot file showing more from both related competitive apps including the ‘Save as’ file types from TextMaker.
Thanks. We will take closer look at your suggestion. Please await my feedback.
