Garbled characters appear in text fields in Acrobat Reader

I added a checkbox and a text field to a normal PDF file and saved it. When I type numbers or letters into the text field in Acrobat Reader, the characters become garbled.

Hello @nishigaki,

Apologies for the late response and thank you for your patience.

We have tested this on Windows 11 with ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors version 9.1, creating a PDF, adding a checkbox and text field, but we could not reproduce the issue of garbled characters in Acrobat Reader.

However, we did check the file you attached, and the problem is reproducible there on our side. This suggests something specific to the file or the creation/editing process used to produce it is causing the issue.

To help us investigate further, could you please share the exact sequence of steps and tools you used to create the original PDF and add the form fields?

Looking forward to your reply)

Hello @Nurullo

Create a new docx in Desktop Editors, save it as a plain PDF, and close the tab.
Reopen it in Desktop Editors, switch to edit mode, add a checkbox and a text field, overwrite it, and close the tab.
This issue occurs when I edit it in Acrobat Reader.

Hi @nishigaki,

Thank you for the detailed information.
We have successfully reproduced the issue you described. We are currently analyzing this behavior. We will update you with our findings and a solution as soon as the analysis is complete.
