Footnote in three-coloumn-layout

Dear team,

I encountered an issue, which I think is a bug. At least (my reference) MS Word handles it different.

If you have a three-coloumn-layout in OnlyOffice Document and you add a footnote in a coloumn there is a line only under this specific coloumn wich seperates the footnote contents from the text part of the coloumn. The other two coloumns are not being repositioned so that they still end on the bottom of the page.
If you do the same in MS Word the line that seperates footnote from contents is being set for all coloumns. This results in a more consistant layout. All coloumns end with the same distance from the bottom of the page.

To me it seems like a bug. Otherwiese can you name reasons why the seperator line is only set for the first coloumn and not for the whole page?

Thank you so far.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hey @StefanA,

To help me see exactly how it behaves in your case and compare it properly, could you please record a short video showing:

  • Creating/opening a three-column document
  • Adding a footnote in one column
  • What the layout looks like (especially the separator line and column bottoms)

Just upload the video to ONLYOFFICE DocSpace, kDrive, Google Drive or similar and share the link here. This will make it much clearer and let us reproduce/analyze it more accurately.

Appreciate your help — we’ll figure it out! :ok_hand:
