Focus lost after insert of row in spreadsheet

The spreadsheet contains more than 1000 rows. After insert of a new row at a row number above 1000, the new blank rows appears, but the focus is immediately put past the last row of the spreadsheet. So I have to scroll back and must try to find the new row.

Hello, thank you for the details.

We have tested the same scenario on our side, and we were not able to reproduce the issue — after inserting a row above row 1000, the focus stays on the inserted row and does not jump past the last row of the sheet .

To investigate this further, could you please provide:

  • A short screen recording that shows all steps from the moment you select the row and insert a new one until the focus jumps to the end of the sheet.
  • The exact spreadsheet file where you face the issue (you can anonymize any sensitive data, or share only a minimal sample where the problem still appears).
  • Whether the same behavior occurs with any other spreadsheets, or only with this particular file.
  • Which cloud/storage you are connected to in the app (ONLYOFFICE Workspace/DocSpace, Nextcloud, ownCloud, iCloud, or another service).

Best regards!

I have not managed to reproduce this bug in some other sheet. Even if I copy all cells and paste them into a new blank sheet the bug does not appear. But the original sheet keeps on showing the bug. My question: how can I make the requested screen recording on my iPad? And how can I get the buggy spreadsheet to you? I noticed that near the bottom of the screen it initially says A1 f(x) and some text, but that is not the text contained in cell A1. This text comes from some other cell.
I am using ONLYOFFICE docspace as the storage facility. But copying the sheet to local storage on iPad makes no difference: the same behavior occurs.
Initially I found that the bug had to do with the row number of the new row (>1000), but now I found this behavior also appears at lower row numbers.

Hello, thank you for the clarification.

If the issue occurs only with this specific spreadsheet, please send us the original file so we can check it on our side.

You can attach the file directly here on the forum, or upload it to any cloud storage and share the link with us.

Also, please let us know in which application this file was originally created.

The spreadsheet was originally exported from Google sheets as a .xlsx file. The link to a demo file to show the bug is: https://docspace-tnt9vp.onlyoffice.com/s/qf_Yyg2Py_h2kGc
To show the bug: scroll to row 902 for instance, select this row and try to ‘insert top’ a new row.
