Hello,
I would like to suggest an improvement to the “Freeze Panes” functionality in the ONLYOFFICE Spreadsheet Editor.
Currently, the “Freeze Panes” feature only works relative to the start of the spreadsheet (A1). It locks rows from the top and columns from the left up to the selected cell. While this covers basic needs, it lacks the flexibility found in Microsoft Excel.
In Excel, you can scroll down or to the right to a specific part of your data and then freeze the panes. This allows you to keep a specific set of rows/columns visible at the top or left, even if they are not the very first ones in the entire sheet.
Why is this important? When working with very large datasets, it is often necessary to keep a specific reference area visible while scrolling through the middle of the document, without being forced to scroll all the way back to the top to set the freeze point.
Having the ability to freeze based on the current view/scroll position would significantly improve the user experience and make the transition from Excel to ONLYOFFICE much smoother.
I hope you will consider this improvement!
Best regards,
Andrew
