Enable insert pdf document from other pdf file in PDF editor and rearranging page

Dear Team,

I would like to suggest few modification in PDF editor.

  1. Enabling users to insert pdf page from other pdf file. Suppose I have a pdf file A and I want two pages from file B to incorporate in file A. That feature would be very helpful for us. Here in PDF editor we can insert blank page only.

  2. Enabling users to rearrange pages in PDF editor. Support I want page number 4 as page number 2 or 1. That feature will also be very helpful to users.

Hope you will look into it and we will get an enhanced version on only office in near future.

We have reviewed your suggestions:

  • Implementing the insertion of pages between PDF files (pdf->pdf)
  • Implementing the ability to move pages within PDF files

As soon as new information regarding these suggestions becomes available, I will notify you.

Yes I agree. Surely inserting a pdf should be as easy as inserting a picture file?

Thank you for your message. I understand you’d like inserting a PDF to be as simple as inserting a picture file.

I’m happy to share that the ability to reorder pages in PDF files has already been implemented—you can now rearrange pages using drag-and-drop. Additionally, inserting a blank page into a PDF document is also available.

However, the feature to insert pages between PDF files (PDF-to-PDF) is still in progress. We’ll notify you as soon as it’s implemented.

Sorry for not notifying earlier — the info from this thread wasn’t added to the bug ticket in time, my bad!

Both features you were asking about are already implemented:

  • Inserting pages from one PDF into another (pdf → pdf)
  • Reordering/moving pages within a PDF (drag-and-drop)

Hi,

The insert feature as it is right now, is nice and totally workable with BUT I have an update-feature-request for it:

Imagine you have another App where you print out many seperate PDFs (for me AutoCAD) and you would like to insert 20 of these in another PDF. Right now we have to open every PDF seperately, copy-and-paste every page one-by-one. That’s duable but titious.

What I would like is “Insert PDF(s) before/after current page” → then open a file-dialog where we can select one OR multiple PDFs, and then all pages from them gets inserted.

That would be VERY helpful and timesaving!
