Emoticons can't be pasted (while it works in LO)

Linux Kubuntu 25.10 - OO 9.1 SNAP.
Trying to insert emoticon from different emoticons apps (eg : ibus-typing-booster or the emoticon selector installed on the system), all I get is this in OO:

While it works in LO (or here in firefox, from the same source : :birthday:)
