Desktop Editors does not remember Color printing preference – Windows 11 and Linux

Problem: ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors does not remember my Color printing preference.

I have experienced this issue with multiple versions of ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors on both Windows 11 and Zorin OS Linux. I upgraded to version 10 hoping it would resolve the problem, but it persists.

My setup:

  • ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors 10.0.0.169 (x64 DEB) on Zorin OS

  • Windows 11 with ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors 10

  • Epson EcoTank ET-4760 network printer

What happens:

  1. I open a document and select Print.

  2. ONLYOFFICE defaults to Black & White, even though my printer is configured for colour.

  3. I change the setting to Color.

  4. ONLYOFFICE remembers Color during the current session.

  5. After closing and restarting ONLYOFFICE, the setting reverts to Black & White.

Troubleshooting completed:

  • The Epson prints correctly in colour when Color is selected.

  • Zorin’s printer settings report RGB as the default.

  • I explicitly configured ColorModel=RGB and verified print-color-mode=color.

  • Zorin’s system print dialog defaults to Color and US Letter and retains those settings after restarting ONLYOFFICE.

  • Chrome’s print dialog also defaults to Color.

  • ONLYOFFICE recognizes that the Epson supports colour printing.

  • The same behaviour occurs on Windows 11 and Zorin OS.

  • Exporting or printing a document to PDF preserves its colours.

Expected behaviour:

ONLYOFFICE should respect the operating system’s printer defaults or remember the user’s last selected printing preferences between sessions.

Request:

Please fix this behaviour or provide an option to save default printing preferences, especially Color versus Black & White.

Thank you!

I’m having some issues with 10.0.0 version as well after the upgrade.
