Data Fields in PDF Forms cannot be filled using other pdf editors

I am building a PDF Form in the PDF Editor Desktop App.
When I open the file with some other pdf editors, the Data fields cannot be filled. They are shown with the default value (if present) but when I try to enter a new value the fields become empty/blank (as if the value fails on validation rule), even if the input values are remembered if I try to access them again before saving.
This seems to happen only for Data fields.

The data field does not work in

  • Gnome Papers,
  • KDE Okular

It DOES work in:

  • Google Chrome (Linux Version 143.0.7499.109 (official build)
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader (Windows) 2025.001.20997 (64bit) [ but the field has a red border after filling ]
  • MuPdf (Linux v. 1.25.6)

Can you confirm that a fillable PDF from another processor can be filled in mentioned apps? For instance, if a PDF form is created in Adobe Acrobat?
