Dash at beginning of text cell seen as a minus sign

OS version: Windows 10 22H2
App version: 9.0.4.50 (x64 exe)

Downloaded from: Downloaded online installer from OnlyOffice website.

Within a text formatted cell, I place a “-” at the beginning. Then when I leave the cell(either by using ENTER and by clicking off), an “=” appears before the “-”.

I have used the installer to repair the install. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled OnlyOffice. These things did not change this behavior.

Hey @Cynemund,

To help us understand and reproduce it better, could you share a short video showing the behavior? Just include the steps of typing the dash in a text-formatted cell, leaving the cell (via Enter or clicking off), and the resulting “= -”.

You can upload the video to an external storage service and share the link here. This will really help us nail down what’s going on!

That is not exactly what I meant. I put text after the “-”, and then it is treated as a minus sign. Just “-” works.

Hello @Cynemund

Thank you for your patience and for providing the additional details and video to clarify the issue!

We’re actively investigating the problem to understand why the “-” is interpreted this way and causes an “=” to appear. I’ll keep you updated as soon as we have any news or a resolution.

Hey @Cynemund,

We’ve created a bug report for it and will work on a fix. Unfortunately, I can’t provide a timeline yet, but I’ll notify you as soon as it’s released.

Appreciate your patience and detailed feedback! :hugs:
