Customizing text formatting menu

I don’t need all of the predefined text formattings and want omit some of them.

Is this possible?

Hello! Could you please clarify what exactly you want to hide:

  • predefined styles (for example, Heading, Title, Normal, etc.), or
  • regular formatting options on the toolbar (bold, italic, underline, font size, etc.)?

This will help us understand whether such customization is possible and what workaround can be suggested.

Hello Marix

predefined styles (for example, Heading, Title, Normal, etc.),

What I want to do: create my owns styles and delete the others or, rename the existing

Thank you for the clarification.

At the moment, deleting, sorting, or renaming default styles is not supported in ONLYOFFICE. The relevant improvements are already in development, and I will add your request to the existing reports.

For now, you can create your own style in the following way:

  1. Format a text fragment the way you want your custom style to look.
  2. Select the fragment.
  3. Right-click it.
  4. Choose Formatting as StyleCreate New Style.

This way, your custom style will be added to the list and can be reused in the document.

Means, that what I want is not (yet?) possible.

Thanks

Yes, that’s correct — at the moment, unfortunately, it is not possible to delete, sort, or rename the default styles in ONLYOFFICE, and custom styles created manually are added only to the current document.

These improvements are already in progress.

I will update this thread once these features are implemented.
