Additional information: I am writing to report a problem with the iCloud Drive connection in ONLYOFFICE Documents for iOS, and to ask for your assistance in resolving it.
Description of the problem
When I open the Clouds section in the app and tap iCloud Drive (under “My Clouds”), the connection appears to be established, but I do not see an overview of my files stored in iCloud Drive. The list is empty.
As a workaround, I can only access my documents via the “+” button and “Import file”, but this copies the file into the app’s local storage (“On Device”) rather than opening it in place. Subsequent edits are then saved to the app’s internal storage, not back to iCloud Drive, so the file no longer appears in the Files app under iCloud Drive.
What I have already checked/tried
•
iCloud Drive is enabled on my iPad (Settings > [my name] > iCloud > iCloud Drive), and the toggle for ONLYOFFICE under “Apps syncing to iCloud Drive” is switched on (green).
• My files are visible in the native Files app under iCloud Drive.
• Force-closing and restarting the ONLYOFFICE app did not resolve the issue.
• Tapping on files in the Files app (to ensure they are fully downloaded locally, rather than only iCloud placeholders) did not help either.
I would expect — as described in your documentation — that tapping iCloud Drive in the “My Clouds” section would connect automatically and let me browse and edit my iCloud Drive documents directly, without downloading and re-uploading them.
My question
Could you please advise how I can get the iCloud Drive connection working properly, so that my files are displayed in the Clouds section and edits are saved back to their original location in iCloud Drive? If this is a known issue or bug, I would appreciate knowing whether a fix is planned.
Any relevant details about the situation. You can also attach images and videofile to the post (or to place them to external storage)

Hi @lachend-kennel, welcome to the community!

Thanks for the detailed report. A few quick things would help us narrow this down:

  1. Your app version (Settings → About) and iPadOS version.
  2. In the Files app, copy any file into iCloud Drive → ONLYOFFICE (or Documents) folder, then open My Clouds → iCloud Drive in the app. Does the file show up there?
  3. In the Files app, long press a file in iCloud Drive → Share or Open with → Documents. Does it open, and do your edits save back to iCloud Drive?

Let us know how it goes!

  1. App version: 9.4.0 (1231); iPadOS version: 27.0.1
  2. Yes the file shows up
  3. Yes it opens and edits are saved back to iCloud Drive
