How do I get the mail working in the web? Clamav is failing and no messages appear. Can send and receive in 3rd party email clients.
EDIT: The webportal is showing emails now. There was a large delay before that worked. But there continues to be errors with clamav.

Type of installation of Workspace (docker, deb/rpm, exe, please point us to the installation guide that you used as well): Downloaded the install script and used docker. Manually installed SSL certs after copying letsencrypt certs from main server which initially failed due to not being rsa, re-issued certs in RSA format and recopied them over.

I am running onlyoffice on 2nd machine behind a apache2 proxy on main machine.

ClamAV is an antivirus software, as far as I know. Please elaborate on how it is related to the Mail Server.
Please be aware that we do not have any guides on how to run Workspace behind a proxy.
Hello, I am aware there are no guides to running behind a proxy. But have it working except for the DH key not being secure in the SSL config. External mail apps fail to connect due to this, but thunderbird works.

I am sorry, initially thought about external ClamAV on the server with Mail Server. Please try restarting the container with Mail Server and checking logs for possible cause of start failure (if it occurs again).
I did some additional debug and ran sudo docker exec -it container bash and
ran
clamd status
and got the reply
ERROR: Can't open/parse the config file /etc/clamd.conf
It may be a permissions error
It seems that permission is for user and group root which does not work. I don’t know what user or group to use for this. I tried user and group clam but it did not work. It correctly has read permission for all.
I have reinstalled as a fix. Clamav is working sort of, but it is version 0.100.3 clamav in the Mail Server which is reached EOL and it can’t update the def files because of this.

As stated on docs.clamav.net as of today 8/21/2025
“Currently, every version from ClamAV 0.102 and down, including all patch versions, are unsupported, and are actively blocked from downloading new updates.”
A problem with updating is that the Only Office Mailserver is based on CentOS 6.10 which has reached EOL. So updating with the package manager is a problem.
Indeed, current versions of ClamAV and CentOS do now allow updating databases easily. Let me some time to investigate the situation. I’ll keep you posted.
I think there is a similar problem with spamassassin wont update for the same reason.

I was informed that the support of the Mail Server has been terminated and it will no longer receive any updates. Considering this, I’m afraid there is nothing I can suggest to resolve the situation with ClamAV and SpamAssassin.
