Cell padding

Hi,
I’m trying OnlyOffice spreadsheet but it doesn’t look like there is a cell padding setting like in MS excel, which is an issue when building a good looking table.
Am I missing something or is that something that will be implimented in the future?

Hello @dcurv

Please elaborate on which “cell padding setting” you are describing.

In general, main cell settings such as alignment are available in the Home tab and additional settings can be accessed from the right panel > Cell settings section.

Edit the cell padding is helpfull to format a table correctly. With no padding, text sticks to the border (up, down, right, left), and it is more difficult to read the text.

On OnlyOffice, we have the option Indent on a Cell. It only allows to set a padding for the left side. Ideal solution will be to have the parameter for each side, to allow us to define clearly the padding on each side, and format perfectly our table.

Hello @Max1m

This is expected behavior. Have you had a chance to use a processor that allows setting up not only the left ident? Can you name one or provide a documentation that describes this possibility?

Hello @Constantine, thanks for your reply. I have tested in Google Docs and Microsoft Excel, and they support only Indent like OnlyOffice.
The only one which support padding (left, top, right, bottom) is LibreOffice, but if we save the document in .xlsx, the padding is not keeped.<
So nice feature to format a table, but not really usefull as the file format don’t support it.

This is standard across various spreadsheet processors for XLSX, as far as I know.
