Can't open office files from Whatsapp

Hi,
I can’t directly open an office file from whatsapp chat… any office files with .xlxs, docs, etc format, so everytime i click any office file from a chat, it will say unsupported format, but i can open if i save it first to my device, anyone having the same problem?

Could you please record a video file with your test?

I have the same issue. When I open from whatsapp it fails with unsupported format. But when I save a file locally, it opens fine with docuemnts app

Please specify versions of Documents Mobile app, Whatsapp and Android that are being used.
