Bug Work-around: "an error occured during the work with the document. Use the "download as" option etc. etc

For bug reports, provide the steps to reproduce and if possible a minimal demo of the problem.
OS version: Windows 11, MacOS 26 (Tahoe), Zorin 18.1 (Linux)
App version: OnlyOffice Community Version 9.4.0

I almost abandoned OnlyOffice when this bug kept causing me to lose work, but it turns out my habit of using range names to make my formulae easier to read seems to contribute to the problem.

The problem seems to occur particularly quickly when I use vlookup() and use a range name for the lookup table instead of cell addresses.

I haven’t had this problem in other OnlyOffice editors yet, but I hope this helps spreadsheet users.

Hi,

Thank you for your report and for the detailed investigation. Yes, this behavior is indeed related to using a named range as the lookup table in the VLOOKUP() formula. We have checked the issue on our side, and it has already been fixed. The fix is planned to be included in the next product version.

At the moment, we do not have an exact ETA for the public release yet. We will update this thread as soon as the new version is released and the fix becomes available.
