Hi ONLYOFFICE Team,
I am writing to request a crucial improvement regarding Right-to-Left (RTL) language support, specifically for Arabic documents.
Currently, when we add footnotes to an Arabic document, the text itself can be aligned to the right, but the Footnote Separator Line (the horizontal divider line above the footnotes) remains stuck on the left side of the page.
In Arabic typography and academic standards, this separator line must be aligned to the right. Unfortunately, there is currently no option in the ONLYOFFICE settings to change or fix the direction of this line.
This is a major roadblock for a huge segment of users, especially students, professors, and researchers in the academic sector who write research papers and theses. Because of this layout issue, many users are forced to stick to Microsoft Word, as they cannot export professional or compliant Arabic documents from ONLYOFFICE.
We highly request that ONLYOFFICE automatically aligns the footnote separator line to the right whenever the document or paragraph direction is set to Right-to-Left (RTL).
