Add PDF pages from file

I have a client who wants to switch from Foxit.
One thing missing for our use case is the ability to add pages from a file. Right now the only way I found is to open multiple pdf files and copy from each the page and insert it to the already opened pdf file.

It would be nice to have another button under Insert. For example: “from file” just like you can insert empty pages.
We use the windows desktop program.

Hello! Just to make sure I understood your request correctly: do you mean you want to insert into the current PDF not a blank page, but one or more existing (already filled) pages from another PDF file on disk, ideally via something like “Insert → From file”, without having to open the second PDF first?

At the moment, ONLYOFFICE PDF Editor in Desktop Editors supports inserting blank pages and managing pages via thumbnails; for moving pages between PDFs, the workaround is to open both PDFs and use copy/paste via Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V.

If you confirm that “add pages from a not-opened PDF” is exactly what you need, we’ll register it as a feature request for future updates.

Yes @Marix, that is exactly what we want. We want to save these extra steps of opening, copying and inserting.

Additionally to that feature, it would be great to be able to select multiple PDF files at once to be inserted. This would greatly improve efficiency

Thanks for confirming — understood.

We’ve registered your request as a feature suggestion for ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors (Windows) PDF Editor: inserting pages directly from another PDF file without opening it first, and also the ability to select multiple PDF files at once for faster insertion.

We’ll post an update in this thread as soon as we have any news or progress on implementation.
