Xlsx not printable in Landscape on Brother DCP

OS: Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit
Hardware: Dell Latitude E6510 v0001
Browser version: Firefox 147.0.1 (64-Bit)

Hi users, I have an .xlsx file (can’t upload) that I want to print in landscape orientation. It works fine as a .pdf, but it doesn’t print on my Brother DCP L3550 CDW printer. Landscape orientation is selected in both the layout and the print preview, but it always prints in portrait orientation.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

Regards, Herbert

Hello @Herby

What version of Desktop Editors is being used? What is the installation type of the editor (DEB packages, snap, flatpak, etc)?

Hi Constantine, thank’s for your answer.
I use ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors, Community-Version 9.2.1.43 (x64 deb) - last edition, downloaded from “onlyoffice.com”. The Installation runs without errors.

Thanks for the details. Does your printer or system return any error/warning in the process? Also, I noted that you cannot upload the file, which is expected for new users, but having a file would allow us to run some tests. You can upload your file to any cloud storage and share a link or increase your trust level on this forum according to my comment here: Community rules - #14 by Constantine

Hi Constantine, thanks for the message.

The printer isn’t showing any errors. The firmware is up to date. I have the same hardware (Dell Latitude E6510) also with a Windows 11 system, where the problem with MS Office doesn’t occur.

I’ve uploaded the file to Drive for testing.

Thanks for your help!

Herbert

Thanks. Can you run a simple test? Print your XLSX file via Print to PDF, then actually print resulting PDF with your printer - will it have landscape orientation?

When printing, Desktop Editors send a PDF version of the file to a printing queue, thus it is important to check whether “correct” PDF is printed in landscape.
