Hi Team,
A useful shortcut, which my muscle-memory still reaches for from my prior use of MS Excel:
If you select cells for copy, then move focus to the target cell/s and press the Enter key, the cells marked for copy are pasted in the target cell/s, and the cells marked for copy are released from copy.
Only if, in Excel, you select paste (Ctrl-V), are the cells selected for copy, retain their marked for copy status. This is what OO currently does.
Is Enter, to paste and release from copy, a function that OO could implement the way Excel does?
Thank you for describing the expected behavior in such a clear way.
We can confirm that this behavior — pressing Enter to paste a copied cell/range and exit the copy mode (when the range is outlined with the marching ants) — has already been registered in our internal tracker as an improvement for ONLYOFFICE Spreadsheets.
We cannot share an exact ETA for this enhancement yet, but your request and use case have been added to the existing feature entry and will be taken into account when we prioritize upcoming changes.
Thank you for helping us make the spreadsheet editor more convenient and for pointing out the expected cross‑suite behavior.
