In a doc, I have a list.
I copy the list twice in the same doc, to print it several times.
I want the list numbering to start back to 1 in the second copy of it.
Getting it is almost impossible, and I don’t know why, I assume it is a bug.
The doc:
évaluation CM1 Les CC - Julien.docx (32.3 KB)
A video:
(note that even when it stays selected, the list numbering is not reset to 1/a

)
G’day @arcqus
It looks like a bug to me.
But I did find a work-around, which may be easier than your current work-around.
- Right-click on the first entry of the second list, and select “Continue”.
- Right-click on the first entry of the second list, and select “Start new List”.
I guess doing the “Continue”, even though it is currently continuing, seems to reset something.
So maybe the need to do a “Continue”, may help point the developers to the cause the issue.

Hey @arcqus,
Yes, this does look very much like a bug — the list numbering should reliably reset/start from 1 when you choose “Start new List”, but it’s behaving inconsistently.
I’ve passed the report along to the team (including the file and your video — thanks for those, they’re super helpful!). I’ll come back with any news or updates as soon as I have them.
Also, thanks to @DavidRGreen for the workaround!
Appreciate you both reporting and sharing solutions!
