# Request for Tabs feature within the same document

Just moved from Google Drive to OnlyOffice and one feature that I really miss from Google Docs is the tabs feature within the same document. In Google Docs, the tabs show up in a toolbar on the left, but are all saved within the same document. You can duplicate a tab in Google Docs, too (for example, to copy an existing document and revise it, while still retaining the original). This feature is incredibly useful in my day to day use, and I’d really appreciate having it in OnlyOffice documents as well.
I am a professional writer–I often use the tabs to revise poems and stories and save the various versions all in the same document. I don’t want to have to create multiple documents containing different versions of the same poem/story/chapter. I’d much rather be able to navigate between them on the same document.
I also use the tabs within the same document to write down notes and questions. It’s helpful for them to have their own designated place within the same document, and the tabs are really useful for that.
Would love to see internal tabs added within documents in OnlyOffice!

Thank you for your detailed suggestion and for sharing how you use this functionality.
We already have a feature request to implement Google Docs–style tabs within a single document, and we have added your use case to it.
We do not have an ETA at the moment, but we will update this thread as soon as we have any news regarding the implementation of this functionality.
