# Remove personal information from file

An option that removes information about the author from the file, for example the author of the document, but also the author of the comments. This is often necessary for double-blind peer review in academia.

On MS Office, this can be done in File \> Info \> Check for Issues \> Inspect Document.

It would be nice if ONLYOFFICE also had such an easy way to do this under File \> Info, as sometimes it is useful to remove the metadata.
