I wanted to like ONLYOFFICE, but my experience with its PDF editor was frustrating.

I used the Insert → Text Box feature to add text boxes with custom fonts, sizes, and colours to my PDF. Initially, everything seemed to work as expected. However, after saving the document, closing the application, and reopening the PDF, the text boxes no longer behaved as editable objects. They appeared almost embedded in the document, and I couldn’t edit them as I had before.

My main goal was to create text boxes on my Windows laptop that I could later select and edit on my iPhone using Documents by Readdle. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get this workflow to work.

I appreciate the ability to customise text boxes, but saving a document shouldn’t leave users confused about whether their text boxes will remain editable. I hope the developers can improve PDF text-box editing and make it clearer how these objects are saved and whether they remain editable across different PDF applications.
