Oblique and italic

In the ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors editor, you need to add the function of setting text styles such as Oblique and italic. Currently, if the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+I is used in the editor, Oblique is used, but not italic. You can implement this feature, for example, using a new button or a drop-down list.

Font example: Iosevka.

Provided link explicitly demonstrates the difference between Italic and Oblique types:

  • Italic changes fonts’ ligature and also slants it;
  • Oblique only slants text with additional degrees without changing the lugature.

The only result I am getting with various fonts is Italic specifically, which raises a concern that you have a unique font that does not comply to these styles. Can you share any screenshots?

Also, globally most of the document processing apps do not provide an option for setting text as oblique directly - have you encountered one that does?
